This week I was playing around with some of the pictures that I had taken of my art work and mashing the together with pictures I had taken while I was out and about using the Image Blender app on my iPhone.

Essentially, Image Blender gives you the ability to take two of your photos and blend them with each other. Nothing more, nothing less.

Image Blender, does give you the option of picking several blending modes ( Normal, Multiply, Screen, Overlay, Darken, Lighten, Color Dodge, Color Burn, Soft Light, Hard Light, Difference, Exclusion, Hue, Saturation, Color, Luminosity, Plus Darker, Plus Lighter,) as well as the ability to scale and mask.

This is a pretty simple and straight forward app, however, arranging and aligning your images can be a pain. And getting a precise mask can be rough too unless you make use of the zoom feature, which gets pretty tedious.  Also, an undo for the mask feature would be nice.

Even with the limited options this is still a pretty cool app to add some quick and easy pixel spice to your images and pretty cool to play around with, especially with textures and close up with lots of contrast.

The last time I checked the price for this was $2.99.

Have you used Image Blender yet? What do you think of it?
