havaiki tiki
One of the several tiki poles that can be found at the Hanalei Center that belong to Havaiki Oceanic & Tribal Art

I took this shot when I was up on the North shore checking out the Board Swap that takes place every first Saturday in Hanalei. I used my iPhone and the ever trusty Hipstamtic app. The camera settings were: Lens-Watts, Film-US1776 and the flash was off. I did blur the background slightly in photoshop to simulate depth of field and to help the Tiki pop off of the background a little and make it the obvious focus of the image, but that was the only post processing I did on this image.

This is the image before I blurred the background:

Can you see the very subtle difference? I could of pushed it a bit farther but I really prefer to shoot from the hip and not spend to much time tweaking my photos.

What are your thoughts on post processing and using photo editing applications on the photos you take, yay or nay?
