Moving Sucks The Devil’s Ass

Almost everything I am keeping has been boxed up and sent via U.S.P.S to California.

Flat rate boxes and plastic bins zip tied shut seemed a less costly and smoother way to go than dealing with freight forwarders.

Shipping boxes to the mainland has cost me around $600. I still have about another $300 left to go. This does not include getting Whiskers across the sea.

The process of sorting through what to keep and what to let go of has been rough and mentally taxing.

Disheartening thoughts about time and money invested in art projects, tools and stuff that I am losing are difficult to curtail.

I’m trying to find my Zen, but it’s tough no matter how good the unburdening feels after the clutter is gone.

Comfort does come in knowing that somebody will hopefully use and give these things a new home.

My moving sale is this weekend. My wish is that afterwards the next trip to the dump will be a light load.
